|
Jesse James Dinkel
Jesse is a theatrical producer, aspiring film maker and actor. He
has been an extra in numerous movies and was a lead character in the
movie "Shadows." Jesse also is an awesome vocalist and sings in
the family rock band. |
Mike Lee Hunter
Mike works in the construction field but would really like to make a
living playing drums. He has been a drummer since age five and has
played in numerous local bands over the years. Nearly signed by
Warner Bros. back in the 1980's, the most popular band he rocked with
broke up and they missed their big shot. But Mike is playing for
fun and recreation these days with the family rock band and a
professional band called "Bandus Bigamus." |
|
Wendy Kay Dinkel
Wendy dreams of doing choreography on a
professional basis and would like one shot at producing a large show
with professional performers. She has also been a singer since her
teen years and sings in the family rock band. Wendy played
basketball in high school and ran track where she set a few
records...only to be broken by her daughter. |
Cheryl Ann Hunter
Cheryl was a ballerina and baton twirler in her
early years, but her true passion is writing. She has a book
published called "I Have A Breast And I Know How To Use It," a book
about breast feeding. Cheryl plays bass guitar and is a back up
singer for the family rock band. She paints for fun in her spare
time. |
|
Amanda Viera
Wendy's daughter
Amanda is a track star as well as an excellent tumbler
and dancer. She is an awesome athlete who excels at all she
attempts. Amanda plans to be an Occupational Therapist. |
Kristin Speak
Cheryl's oldest daughter Kristin is married to
Thomas Speak (who acclimated to the strangeness of our family very
well!) and has been with the family business for many years.
Kristin is a writer and a jewelry maker as well as talented singer.
She won't sing for you, so don't ask, but we've heard her angelic voice
and keep nagging her to join the family rock band. |
|
Miguel Viera
Wendy's son Miguel is a tumbler and Parkour
enthusiast who is not afraid to try anything new in the way of stunting.
He plans to be a professional stuntperson and is already laying the
groundwork for a career following his high school graduation. He
is also an avid video game expert and comic book style artist. |
Lauren Harris
Cheryl middle daughter, Lauren has been a performer
since she could walk. Acting and singing her way into many
productions over the years she is currently the lead singer for an Indie
Rock band called Mirror/Mirror. The band is launching its first EP
and will begin concerts soon. Lauren will soon graduate from Cal
State Fullerton with a degree in Communications. She lives with
her (we like to say fiancee) Costin, who owns his own software company
and also plays guitar in his own rock band. |
|
Mike Ingalls
Mike has become part of the family since we met him
back in the early 90's when he and Lauren began to do musical theatre.
Mike is a professional actor having appeared in movies and commercials
and is a member of SAG. He is also an excellent music composer and
singer. Mike learned to tumble with us and continues to make us
smile with his warm personality. We think of him as family because
he fits in so well and loves us for who we are. |
Miranda Siegersma
Cheryl's youngest daughter, Miranda has been a
singer and dancer since she was a toddler. With a love for hip hop
dance and music she has danced in competitions and shows for the past
four years. Her greatest talent lies in her singing. She has
an incredible voice and dreams of making a living performing her music
for the world. She likes to write and is part of the Speech Team
at her high school. She is also a varsity cheerleader with a power
house tumbling ability. |
|
Dick Gaskell
Mr. Gaskell is a gymnastics guru in California.
Instrumental in getting the collegiate program off the ground in our
state, Mr. Gaskell is an underappreciated talent in the coaching world.
He is a great guy with a huge heart and a true friend to Tumble City. |
Jason Siegersma
Cheryl's son, Jason is a true gift to the family.
Diagnosed with severe Autism in 1996 he has amazed and amused us for
years. He loves music and loves to play at the gym. A
handsome kid at around 5'11' and growing, Jason learned to do a punch
front on the spring board by watching his cousin Miguel do it. His
greatest love is water, especially swimming at the beach and watching
diving. He plays piano by ear but only when he feels like it...no
lessons are being forced on him...yet. |

Maude Umbach
Family matriarch Maude was the force behind Wendy
and Cheryl's development of athletics and performing arts. She was
a baton twirler and trapeze artist as a young teen and performed in the
Redlands YMCA Circus for many years. A surgical nurse for thirty
years at Redlands Community Hospital, Maude is now a retired proud
grandma who spends most of her time creating fun and wonderful
slideshows, movies and greeting cards for her family and friends. |
Hubert Bell
Family patriarch Hubert is a closet artist whose
work has been seen by a select few. A musician as well he played
saxophone in high school and for the YMCA Circus. As a teen and
young adult he and his brothers played guitar and sang together making a
record back in the 1950's. Hubert owned a Chevron service station
in Calimesa from 1966 to around 1980 and is an excellent mechanic.
He is currently looking forward to retirement and settling down in
Tuscon, AZ. |

Dave Umbach
Dave spent many years as a gymnast and circus
performer with his specialty being hand balancing. As shown in the
many photos on this website Dave stood on his hands all over the
country. Dave was also part of Dick Gaskell's drive to get women's
collegiate gymnastics off the ground. Still advising us on circus
stuff Dave is semi-retired and helps our mom take care of the two busy
little dogs that have become our sibling rivals. Those dogs get
everything that we never got when we lived at home..... |
Lou Bell
Lou is an accomplished artist who has paintings
regularly winning awards in the San Diego area. She only recently
began her hobby but quickly became very good at it and discovered a
talent that even surprised her. She is poised to turn a hobby into
a successful way to earn income when she and our dad retire to Arizona.
Keep on painting Lou! |
Allan & Linda Bell
Our brother Allan and his wife Linda live in Lake
Havasu Arizona where Allan is a long time employee of Citizen's
Electric. A lineman for many years, his athleticism from the days
of football, baseball and waterskiing allowed him to follow in uncle
John's footsteps as an acrobat at heart. Allan and Linda have two
children, Ashley and Brian who are married and each have a child. |
Dave & Lisa Bell
Living the quiet life in upper Seattle, our brother
Dave and his wife Lisa are a technologically savvy couple climbing the
ladder of success in the cyber world. Dave is also an aspiring
writer and has the wit and wisdom to carry him a long way. A
computer software and hardware wiz, Dave is also adept at mechanical
troubleshooting, a trait he inherited from our father Hubert. |
|
John Pace
Retired Edison lineman, John was a major
contributor to the Redlands YMCA Circus getting its start. John
performed with the circus in the early 1950's and continued over the
years with his children joining him in the fun. A true strongman,
John balanced other performers on his head, hands and feet while perched
on various apparatus high off the ground. He also held a very tall
pole as a "perch" for the petite performing aerial acrobats. Our
mom was one of those aerial acrobats perched above John's head back in
the day. John remains a source of inspiration and advice for us to
this day. |
Jerine Mulvaney
Jeri is another family member who has shown great
support for us over the years. She has attended many of our
performances over the years and sewn a few costumes too. Her own
children performed in the YMCA Circus for a number of years. An
expert horseperson, she won many ribbons as a barrel racer in her young
adult years. Having inherited the natural ability for "horse
whispering" from our great grandfather, Jeri would have been a famous
circus pony star if she had run away and joined a circus. We
appreciate her continued support of all we do. |
|
Lonnie Pace
Lonnie was a trapeze artist in the YMCA Circus and
helped with costumes and other things when her own children became
involved. Her daughters performed on the ladders and web, while
her son was a tumbler. A longtime supporter of our programs,
Lonnie has attended many of our performances. We are so lucky to
have such a wonderful aunt! |
Evelyn McManus
Our grandmother has left this world but remains
with us constantly in spirit. She was always our greatest
cheerleader and told us to keep working with the children in the
community because that was our calling. She attended nearly every
event we held for many years. Evelyn helped sew band uniforms for
Redlands High School and circus costumes over the years. Wherever
she was needed she helped. A wonderful anchor for our family,
grandma is in our hearts and on our minds every day. |
