POLICIES & PROCEDURES Safety Rules: 1. All students need to store their clothing and shoes in the space provided. 2. Students MUST wait for their instructor to call them out onto the gym floor. 3. Parents, guests and siblings are NOT permitted on equipment and/or the gym floor. This is for the safety of the gymnasts and all others concerned. All guests may watch from the viewing area, or wait in the lobby during classes. 4. There is to be NO coaching from the sidelines as it is distracting to the gymnast and coach, and could be dangerous. If a parent continues to interrupt class, they will be asked to wait in the lobby during workouts. Parking: Our complex property management has instructed that our patrons refrain from parking in spaces in front of other businesses. Our customers are to park in open parking area in the front of this complex (along 5th street). Those who park in front of businesses may be towed! Our staff members often lock up and leave after dark, so for safety purposes, the spaces in front of our suite are for STAFF ONLY. Trial Classes: The Trial Class is considered the first class of your paid session if you choose to sign-up. Cost for the trial class is the prorated class amount (25% of total). Trial fee and registration forms must be completed and signed prior to trial class. Trial fee will be credited towards membership and tuition upon sign-up. Students are allowed only one trial class. Enrollment: Each session consists of four classes (one class per week) unless otherwise stated. Tuition for each session is due before the first class of that session. Participants are not considered enrolled until session fees and memberships have been paid. Tuition is non-refundable after participant has attended the first class of paid session. Class availability is decided on a first come, first served basis; therefore registration and/or tuition are encouraged early or on time. Tumble City does not guarantee availability in any class. Absences: If a student cannot attend a class, and notifies the gym prior to class time, a make-up class may be scheduled. The make up class must be scheduled within four weeks of the missed class. Make up classes can be arranged with the front office. We do not offer tuition discounts in place of make up lessons. The front office has vacation/drop slips available if the student will be taking a long absence (2 or more weeks). If a student is ill, please call ahead to excuse him/her from class. Make up classes will be scheduled when the child is well. We strongly suggest that you don’t bring ill or injured children to class. NOTE: There are no make-ups for the Circus Program unless otherwise stated. Punctuality: We ask that students arrive 5 minutes prior to class time. Every class begins with a warm-up which is important to reduce the risk of injuries. If student arrives late and misses any portion of the warm up, it will be up to the instructor if the student will be allowed into class. However, if a student is tardy by more than 5 minutes, he/she may be asked to sit out class (with possible exceptions for advanced students). Clothing: NO STREET CLOTHES ARE ALLOWED; THIS INCLUDES DENIM. Tumble City may loan clothing to students for the day if their clothing is deemed inappropriate. Girls: leotards, unitards or stretch shorts with a shirt tucked in. Sweats may also be worn. Bare feet or gym shoes only. No zippers, buttons or snaps. And please...no skirts! Also, tank tops MUST BE thick strapped and may not be low cut. Boys: Jerseys with shorts or sweats. T-shirts should be tucked in. Sweat pants are okay.
